Fun at the Park

Kaden loves to play. That is just a happy fact of our daily lives. Add beautiful weather and a big open park with lots of grass and we've got a recipe for smiles and fun. This past weekend we made ourselves a double batch!
The emergence of Spring has beautifully coincided with (and perhaps contributed to) a developmental explosion in our precious boy. On Friday night he actually crawled up four stairs with absolutely no help from mommy or daddy! He's been crawling around the living room for months and, lately, been looking up the staircase (which has about twenty steps) but always sort of shuffled past it, apparently intimidated. Not on Friday. On Friday night he went for it. After four exhausting steps he turned around and beamed at my husband and me, so proud of his accomplishment. We both exhaled, relaxed all the muscles that had tightened in fear as we spotted him up those four steps, and cheered him as a conquering hero. It was awesome.

Kaden has also been doing a lot of experimenting with standing and trying to balance himself against walls and furniture. You can see in his eyes that his first unassisted steps are coming soon. Go, Kadie, go go go!
